Old Payuan Slate House Cluster
Old Payuan Village was the origin of Paiwan and Rukai ancestors. A few villagers still live there even the village is officially removed, and thus some several slate houses are well reserved here. Slates of these houses are cut evenly and smoothly, showing exquisite indigenous building techniques. Visitors will enjoy luscious beauty of nature here.
Peach Blossom garden
Peach Blossom garden is considered the backyard of Majia. The garden contains large number of peach trees, Oriental plums, apricot trees and wild lilies. The proprietor Pan Yong-fu grafted peach trees to apricot trees, and surprised that they flowered but didn’t bear fruit. The flowers were white, pink and red and had 32 petals (generally peach blossom just have five). He called it beautiful and romantic, “peach-apricot multipetal flower.”
Kaladaran Camping field
“Kaladaran”is a kind of purple flower. It covers the field at its flowering period. The proprietors plant vegetables specifically grown in mountain areas, including chayote vines, cabbages, Oriental plums, oranges, etc. Visitors will enjoy the beautiful flowering scenes and vegetable cuisine apart from camping.
